Service - General

 

 

Provide technical consultancy, site surveys, coating condition reports and inspection solutions to the coatings Industry as a whole.

 

  • Evaluation and writing of Coating specification / surface preparation proposals to meet Client / Project requirements.

  • Preparation and review of company and contractor documentation / specifications etc - to include ITP's for PQT & PPT etc.

 

  • Complaint and Fault investigation / remedy.

 

  • On-Site Survey's and Coating condition evaluations and consultancy of (but not limited to):

    • Marine Vessels.

    • Petrochemical - Pipelines, Product Tank farms and Storage Facilities,

    • Wind Farms and Tower Production facilities,

    • Oil & Gas structures (Jack -up and accommodation modules), FPSO New build and Conversion.

    • Coatings & Wet Insulation to Sub-sea and over land pipelines - to include Multi-layer Insulation 3LPE & 3LPP and MLPP, Field Joint Coating ( Heat shrink sleeves and Injection moulded Polypropylene).

    • New build Containers.

    • Bridge and Highways projects.

 

  • Full time inspection availability at New Build / Conversion / Maintenance or Dry-Docking environments to give common sense practical advice and expertise to the Client.

 

  • Witnessing activities for Oil & Gas projects at a variety of test houses, company premises and work sites.

Service - Marine

 

 

Our aim is to provide a complete coatings service to the Marine Industry:

 

  • Coatings condition evaluation to underwater hulls, and Topside areas to vessels in dry-dock (can also arrange for dive inspections for vessels in service),

  • Survey of coatings and extent and type of corrosive breakdown to all deck areas, superstructure, engine room, bilges and all internal below decks areas.

  • Ballast and Cargo Tank / Hold survey's giving type and extent of coatings failure, and remedial action required (i.e. mechanical Spot repair to Full coating removal via grit blasting) - to include envisaged urgency or otherwise of repair program to accommodate owners vessel programming.

  • Provide Pre Upkeep Maintenance Assessment’s (PUMA's) of vessel condition in advance of proposed or future dry-docking intervals - giving the owner an insight of the overall condition of the vessel pre-docking and type and extent of fabric maintenance works that could be undertaken, at his discretion. PUMA's may be carried out in the UK, Europe or other oversea's location to suit.

  • Attendance for dry-docking's at locations throughout the world, to ensure the owner's requirements and coatings specification is being closely adhered to.

  • Full time attendance and coatings inspection to new build or conversion projects throughout the world.

Service - Wind Energy
 
David has been actively involved with wind energy for some 15 + years, and was heavily involved in the early stages of wind tower manufacture in Scotland and laterly in South Wales. During which time he was heavily involved with production manufacturing processes and procedures required in the sucessful production of tower sections.

  • ​Blast Cleaning & Surface Preparation.
  • Paint Application.
  • Coating Inspection.
  • Remedial repairs of coating defects.

 

Together with: Coating System Performance Trials and evaluations of a number of paint systems put forward by various paint manufacturers.

 

Service - Oil and Gas

 

 

David Has been involved with a number of Oil & Gas projects throughout his career to include

 

FPSO conversion projects, namely:

​

  • North Sea Producer, FPSO conversion at Wallsend, outfitting at SLP Middlesborough.

  • Maersk Curlew, FPSO undertaken at A&P Tyne, outfitting at AMEC yard North Shields.

  • ENQUEST Producer, FPSO undertaken at Offshore Group Newcastle (OGN), Wallsend, Newcastle.

Topsides, Accommodation & Jacket Structures:

​

  • Talisman / Sinopec Energy UK (Montrose BLP Project) – MonArb Jacket for the Montrose Area Redevelopment (MAR) Project.

  • Conoco / Philips Alder Topsides.

​

Subsea Pipelines:

​

  • BP Tortue and Shah Deniz 2 (BP) - Gas pipeline projects, to include all pipeline coating and insultaion specifications, Field Joint Coatings (FJC), Buoyancy modules, Insulation Shrouds, Bend Restrictors and Composit Ducting. As well as the coating and insulation of all other ancillary machinery and equipment (Tree's, PLEM's, FTA's, RSS etc).
