Wood Group Kenny, Staines - BP Tortue - Gas Pipeline Development (Senegal / Mauritania).
 
Lead Coatings & Insulation Consultant.

 

Lead Coatings Engineer for BP Tortue sub-sea gas pipeline project, off the coast of West Africa (April 2018 – Present Day). Based in McDermott’s London offices, full responsibility all coatings related aspects of the FEED, Detailed Design and Execute stages of the project, including the selection of 3LPP and Solid PP 5 layer MLPP wet insulation linepipe coating systems, associated Field Joint Coatings (FJC) systems, Concrete weight coating (CWC) for export lines together with coatings for all manifold, rigid spools, riser & riser support structure (RSS) and all subsea equipment. Documentation review (ITP, MPS, Reports, TQ and Deviation request etc) attendance at PQT’s for all of scopes of work with a coatings content.

Lead Coatings & Insulation Consultant.

Provides Technical support for all coatings related matters, including all pipeline surface preparation and coating processes to include - Wet Insulation: IMPU, IMPP, Syntatic Silicone, 3LPP & 3LPE. Pipe line Bouyancy to include Distributed buoyancy (Export lines) and buckle initiator (Infield Flow Line) modules.

Review of documentation and suppliers coatings and insulation processes, PQT's, PPT's and ITP's in line with BP technical specifications and requirements. He also provides on site attendance and witness activities, to ensure conformance with all aspects of company procedures and policies are adhered to.

Having completed the work scope for Shah Denis 2, additional scopes of work Wood Group have been undertaken to include:

INEOS - South Clipper Re-route subsea pipeline, Glencore - Petro Chad on-shore pipeline, Consultation for the two new Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers being built at Rosyth.

Coatings Consultant.

 

Provision of all inspection solutions and coating specification design, to facillitate the needs and requirements of this large Storage Facillity in South Wales.

 

SemLogistics Milford Haven is the largest independent petroleum products storage facility in the United Kingdom, and accounts for almost 25% of the United Kingdom’s independent storage capacity and is the only one capable of handling crude oil.

 

David Grinter Associates Ltd has completed coating survey’s of site storage facilities and associated pipework, to produce surface preparation and coatings specifications for all areas, to include tank external coatings, internal tank linings, ladders and walkways, pipework, supports and valve assemblies etc.

 

Planned refurbishment of the complete external and internal coating systems of two storage tanks were scheduled to start in October 2014 with the complete refurbishment of all critical storage facilities to be on an ongoing basis over a 10 year period – Full inspection of surface preparation and coating processes and procedures to be undertaken by DGA Ltd.
